1 .Kalaa Setu: (General Studies-III (250 marks)Technology, Economic Development, Biodiversity, Environment, Security, and Disaster Management)
is a significant nationwide initiative launched by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in India, through its WaveX Startup Accelerator Platform, with the primary goal of bridging the digital language divide across the country.
This initiative aims to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) by inviting leading Indian AI startups to develop indigenous, scalable solutions for automated content generation in multiple Indian languages.
Specifically, Kalaa Setu focuses on three core areas: text-to-video generation for creating contextualized video explainers, text-to-graphics generation for producing data-driven infographics and illustrative visuals, and text-to-audio generation using advanced voice synthesis for emotionally expressive and regionally sensitive audio news capsules.
Ultimately, the program seeks to empower public communication bodies to dynamically transform official information into regionally resonant, real-time multimedia formats, ensuring that critical information, such as weather alerts, exam updates, or healthcare schemes, reaches diverse citizens in their preferred languages, thereby enhancing last-mile information delivery and fostering a vibrant AI-led startup ecosystem.
2 .Namibia: General Studies Paper-I (Mains) - Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society is a country located in southern Africa, bordered by Angola, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Its capital is Windhoek, and the official language is English.
Known for its vast desert landscapes, Namibia is home to the Namib Desert considered the world’s oldest desert and the towering sand dunes of Sossusvlei.
The country gained independence from South Africa in 1990, making it one of Africa’s youngest nations. Namibia has a stable democracy and is rich in natural resources, especially uranium and diamonds.
It is also known for its unique wildlife, including desert-adapted elephants, cheetahs, and black rhinos.
The country follows a semi-arid climate and has a relatively low population density. Namibia is a member of the African Union and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
3 . Seine --(General Studies-III (250 marks)Technology, Economic Development, Biodiversity, Environment, Security, and Disaster Management) In a historic development, public swimming in Paris's River Seine has been permitted in designated zones since Saturday, July 5, 2025, marking the end of a century-long ban in place since 1923.
This momentous reopening is a direct legacy of the Paris 2024 Olympics, for which a massive €1.4 billion ($1.5 billion) cleanup project was undertaken to drastically improve water quality.
The extensive efforts involved significant upgrades to sewage systems, wastewater treatment plants, and the construction of a large underground storage basin to prevent overflows during heavy rains.
Three public swimming zones have been established – Bras Marie, Baignade Grenelle (near the Eiffel Tower), and Baignade Bercy – each equipped with essential amenities such as changing rooms, showers, toilets, and even solarium areas, all supervised by lifeguards.
The River Seine is the second-longest river entirely within France, stretching approximately 777 kilometers (483 miles) from its source Seine, Burgundy, to its mouth in the English Channel at Le Havre.
It flows through several significant French cities, most notably Paris, where it famously divides the capital into the Right Bank and Left Bank and encompasses two natural islands, Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis.
A vital navigable waterway, the Seine is crossed by over 37 bridges in Paris alone, including the historic Pont Neuf, and its banks within the city are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to their immense historical, artistic, and architectural importance, featuring iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
