1 .European Council:
(GS Paper II: Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations)
is the highest political body of the European Union (EU). It consists of the heads of state or government of all EU member states, along with the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission
It sets the EU's overall political direction and priorities, resolves outstanding issues, leads in foreign policy, and ratifies important documents. The Council plays a crucial role in shaping the EU's future by providing political leadership and strategic direction, ensuring cooperation and consensus among member states.

The European Council consists of the heads of state or government from all 27 European Union (EU) member countries. Below is the current list of EU member states, grouped by their accession dates:

Usually meets four times a year in Brussels, Belgium, although extraordinary meetings can be called to address urgent matters.

The President of the European Council is elected for a renewable term of 2.5 years.

2 .E-shram Portal:
(GS Paper II: Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations)
The e-Shram portal is an online platform developed by the Indian government to create a comprehensive database of unorganized workers.

The Ministry of Labour & Employment which is one of the oldest and important Ministries of the Government of India, is continuously working on improving life and dignity of Labour force of country by protecting & safeguarding the interest of workers, promotion of welfare and providing social security to the Labour force both in Organized and Unorganized Sectors by enactment and implementation of various Labour Laws, which regulate the terms and conditions of service and employment of workers.
Accordingly, Ministry of Labour & Employment has developed eShram portal for creating a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which will be seeded with Aadhaar. It will have details of name, occupation, address, occupation type, educational qualification, skill types etc. for optimum realization of their employability and extend the benefits of the social security schemes to them. It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc.
Key Features:
Registration: Unorganized workers can register themselves on the portal and receive a unique Universal Account Number (UAN).
Data Collection: It collects crucial information about unorganized workers, including their demographics, skills, and employment history.
Social Security Benefits: The portal aims to connect unorganized workers with various social security schemes and benefits offered by the government, such as life and accident insurance, pensions, and healthcare.
Skill Development: It can help identify skill gaps and connect workers with relevant training programs to enhance their employability.
Disaster Relief: The database can be utilized to provide timely assistance to unorganized workers during natural disasters or emergencies.
Benefits for Unorganized Workers:
Social Security Coverage: Access to social security schemes that were previously unavailable to them.
Improved Livelihoods: Access to skill development programs and employment opportunities.
Government Assistance: Easier access to government assistance during emergencies and disasters.
Overall, the e-Shram portal is a significant step towards improving the social and economic well-being of unorganized workers in India
3 .Bharatpol portal:
(GS Paper II: Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations)
The BHARATPOL portal, launched on January 7, 2025, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, is an online platform developed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to enhance international police cooperation.
It enables seamless integration between Indian law enforcement agencies and INTERPOL, facilitating real-time information sharing and expediting investigations into transnational crimes such as cybercrime, drug trafficking, and human trafficking.
Through BHARATPOL, investigative agencies and state police forces across India can access 19 types of INTERPOL databases, aiding in crime analysis, prevention strategies, and the apprehension of criminals.
The portal streamlines requests for international assistance, including the issuance of Red Notices and other color-coded INTERPOL notices, thereby enhancing efficiency in dealing with crimes and security challenges.
