Weather Events : El Niño and La Niña are two opposing climate patterns that occur in the Pacific Ocean. Together, they form the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) cycle. These events can significantly impact global weather patterns, leading to droughts, floods, and other extreme weather events.

Warming phase: Sea surface temperatures in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean become significantly warmer than average.

Impacts

Increased rainfall in the western United States and parts of South America.

Drought in Australia, Indonesia, and parts of Africa

Disruptions to global weather patterns, including changes in hurricane activity.

La Niña

Cooling phase: Sea surface temperatures in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean become significantly cooler than average.

Impacts:

Increased rainfall in Australia and parts of Asia.

Drought in the western United States and parts of South America.

Changes in hurricane activity, often leading to more active Atlantic hurricane seasons.

The ENSO cycle is a natural phenomenon that occurs every few years.

2. The Kármán line is an internationally recognized boundary that defines the edge of outer space.

It is located at an altitude of 100 kilometers (62 miles) above Earth's sea level. This boundary was established by Hungarian-American engineer and physicist Theodore von Kármán in the 1950s.

The significance of the Kármán line lies in the fact that at this altitude, the atmosphere becomes too thin to support conventional aircraft flight. In other words, to maintain lift at this height, an aircraft would need to travel at speeds comparable to orbital velocities.

Hence, it's considered the threshold between Earth's atmosphere and space.

Although the Kármán line is widely accepted by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), which sets international standards for aeronautics and astronautics, some organizations, like NASA and the U.S.

Air Force, define the boundary of space at 80 kilometers (50 miles).
