2 .The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

is a prominent regional intergovernmental organization established in 1967 by Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
Its primary aims are to accelerate economic growth, social progress, and cultural development in the region, while also promoting regional peace and stability through adherence to justice and the rule of law.
Over the years, ASEAN has expanded to include Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia, forming a ten-member bloc.
The organization emphasizes cooperation and consensus-building, playing a crucial role in fostering economic integration through initiatives like the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) and working towards a single market and production base (ASEAN Economic Community).
3 .Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award (TNNAA) 2024:
General Studies Paper-II (250 Marks) – Governance, Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and International Relations
is India's highest honor in adventure sports, named after the legendary Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay.
Established to recognize outstanding achievements and to foster the spirit of endurance, risk-taking, and teamwork among youth, the award is equivalent in stature to the Arjuna Award.
It's presented annually by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, across four categories: Land Adventure, Water Adventure, Air Adventure, and Lifetime Achievement.
Recipients receive a bronze statuette of Tenzing Norgay, a certificate, and ₹15 lakh.
For the 2024 awards, nominations were open online from June 1, 2025, to July 15, 2025, inviting individuals with exceptional and sustained accomplishments in adventure fields who also demonstrate leadership and an adventurous spirit.
The awards are typically presented at Rashtrapati Bhavan alongside the Arjuna Awards.
4 .Shalyacon 2025
(General Studies-III (250 marks)Technology, Economic Development, Biodiversity, Environment, Security, and Disaster Management)
is a major three-day national seminar on Ayurvedic surgery, currently underway at the All-India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in New Delhi, from July 13th to 15th, 2025.
This prestigious event coincides with Sushruta Jayanti, celebrated annually on July 15th to honor Acharya Sushruta, widely regarded as the Father of Surgery.
Organized by AIIA's Department of Shalya Tantra in collaboration with the National Sushruta Association, Shalyacon 2025 marks the 25th Annual Conference of the association.
The seminar, themed around "Innovation, Integration, and Inspiration," aims to bridge ancient Ayurvedic principles with modern surgical advancements.
