The IISS Shangri-La Dialogue is Asia's premier defense summit, held annually in Singapore. It's a key venue for discussing regional security challenges.
Organizer: International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), an independent think tank
Format: "Track One" dialogue involving government ministers, military leaders, and security experts from Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Focus: Discussing pressing security issues in the Asia-Pacific region and fostering cooperation on responses.

2024 Event: Takes place on May 31st - June 2nd, 2024. Notably, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the President of the Philippines, will deliver the keynote address.
It's nicknamed the "Shangri-La Dialogue" after the Singapore hotel where it's held.
It was created in 2001 to provide a platform for Asia-Pacific defense leaders to discuss security issues.
